About Manzuru
Manzuru String Art is a Ugandan-based creative social enterprise that transforms thread and nails into intricate, handcrafted art pieces while empowering communities through skill-based training. Founded to bridge art and economic opportunity, Manzuru equips youth and women with practical string art skills they can monetize, creating pathways to self-employment and financial independence. Our workshops have reached schools, NGOs, and other communities, contributing to inclusive economic growth. With a growing international client base and a passion for innovation, Manzuru is not only redefining string art, but also using it as a tool for sustainable development and social change.
Goal
to make art accessible and meaningful across communities through workshops, events, and customized handmade string art pieces, while also promoting self-expression, economic independence, and cultural pride.
